Virgin coconut oil is obtained directly from fresh coconut milk without going through the process of heating, refining, bleaching, and scenting so it does not change the natural properties of the oil. People often use cocopeat block as the planting media as an alternative to soil because it contains nutritious elements needed by plants. The nutritious elements are potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and many other minerals. Cocopeat has similar texture to soil, but its better in capability to store and retain water. Hence, cocopeat is considered as a better choice than soil as planting media, especially in hydroponic industry and anthurium plant. As the water can be retained better, the plant and its root will not easily dried out and helps the growth of roots quickly. Furthermore, cocopeat can degrade well in soil which make it eco-friendly.
